Our sheepdog handling courses are designed specifically for handlers who are, or are expecting to be, working their dogs with sheep on a regular basis. From the absolute beginner, to novice, through to trial standard. Our training is adapted to suit all individual needs and will teach you how to handle and train a working dog. Trained Sheepdogs are available for those without their own dog, or to give confidence to novice handlers. Whether you would like to continue with previous training or introduce your dog to sheep, we offer kind, patient and experienced tuition.

Barbara Sykes, National & International triallist, has spent years training, living and working with collies, educating and guiding their natural instincts. Recognising their humour and character she provides an individual and often unique way of training, enabling a better understanding of the working mind of one of the worlds most intelligent dogs. ‘Hi Barbara, I just had to tell you that Cai put the ewe lambs out of the poly tunnel, we got them sorted, and then she had to take these 6 sheep away from their mates to the handling pens. They split like dropping marbles on the floor usually, and she had to have four or five goes at it, but she didn't once get flustered or impatient or rush in, and stood back quietly and did it like a pro!
