Milo
Milo came into the care of the Trust with a fractured leg, sadly the fracture was at least three weeks old and the bones had fused resulting in the leg having to be amputated. Milo is a wonderful little lad, he does not know he has a handicap and thoroughly enjoys life. He is living in the house at the moment and is spotlessly clean, he is a happy chap who gets on with other dogs and with people. He is very loving and very obedient but of course he is only young so is capable of being a bit cheeky sometimes - but why not!
Milo cannot go fell walking and running races but he is capable of going for walks and leading a normal happy life. Because he is still young he does not want to be playing rough and tumble with other young dogs as he needs his muscles strengthening gently. He does need to have access to a garden as we are letting him have plenty of free exercise in the garden or dog paddock to help to strengthen his muscles and to keep him fit without any pressure on him. He is also very used to being, and interacting with older dogs, he does have an occasional game with Tess who is just over a year old but always under supervision. The interaction with Tess is teaching Milo to sit down out of the way when he does not want to play anymore or he his is unsure.
Milo is a lovely dog and although young he is very companionable and would suite someone who wants a dog to love and to be part of their life. With sensible walks and no rough games or extensive ball throwing Milo will be a perfect lovable companion.
