Jake was the real name of Craig in the book Understanding and Handling Dog Aggression and if you visit our books page you will see by the cover that he was not a dog to argue with when he first came to us. His story is told in the pages of the book of how he changed from a very disturbed and angry dog into a boy full of fun with boundless energy. He was under two when he came into our care and for a long time had to be kept away from anything that could trigger off his aggression, but in his later years he took many visitors and trainers by surprise when I introduced the dog they had just been with in the dog paddock as 'the one in the Aggression book'. His picture shows him running free in one of our dog paddocks and is how I will always remember him.
Jake, you may have crossed Rainbow Bridge in January 2010 but the things you taught me throughout your life will always be with me.
