MAINLINE MAYHEM

Hello to all our visitors, It really is mayhem a lot of the time here but we do like to think of it as organised mayhem! We will keep you up to date with our dogs, the farm and our generally humdrum lives. Our Facebook page is popular and if you have a Facebook account you can see the albums of our dogs and you can chat back to us. Golcar Farm is a working farm and we have a flock of sheep that like to test our patience when it comes to fencing! We also have horses and Vicki has a trekking centre with feature rides which you can find out more about through the link to her site 'Country Rides' at the top or our home page and at the side of that link is one for our 'Corporate Collies' team building events. Another link at the top of our homepage is for 'FOSTBC' which is our registered charity rescue. So if you are a horse lover, are looking for a rescue dog or want a great team building day out you will find all the information you need on our other sites. Or of course you can stay here for a while and find out just what kind of Mayhem is happening up on the Yorkshire moors.
MAINLINE MAYHEM
It really is mayhem!

Feb 9th Absolutely freezing here and we had two rescue dogs to take the vets. We set off at 9.30 after thawing the van out only to discover the brakes were still frozen. By the time we arrived at the vets, they were well thawed out - as in smoking!!
OUR DUCKS AREN'T HAPPY

We have five ducks all raised from ducklings and they sit in their well fenced paddock watching the world go by but they are not happy now and neither is B or Vicki and I can't say I'm pleased.
Absolutely beautiful

Jan 6th No complaints today. After slogging through mud, rain and gales for the past week and wondering if the weather would ever change this is what I woke up to this morning
Absolutely beautiful
OH MY GOODNESS

It is 8am and in my house I have my own dogs and in the conservatory and office I have rescues and I have just spent an hour from 7am to now letting them out in a gale and torrential rain!
MUD GLORIOUS MUD!

It is hard to imagine that last year we were frozen up and snowed in. This year it is so wet and muddy that we seem to be forever pulling our wellies out of the mud (and often leaving them behind as well!)
MUD GLORIOUS MUD!
CHRISTMAS SURPRISE

If that't what you can call it! Woke up The morning with a sore throat and throbbing head, and no, it wasn't anything to do with drink!
Making progress

At last the shell of our new reception is up and is an island in a sea of mud. But what's new at the moment. The ducks are having a great time lined up at the fence watching the proceedings with great interest. Next job is to line it out, insulate it and get it ready for use. The digger has been doing a great job up and down the lane taking round bales to the sheep and horses but alas, tonight Vicki has misplaced the keys! Maybe the ducks have confiscated them!
